Ingredients:
- 35 grams of Kos Kos dried mushrooms (any variety)
- 4 cups of vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 cup of milk or heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Boil Kos Kos Dried Mushroom for about 10 minutes or until they become soft and pliable. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until they become translucent and fragrant.
3. Add the rehydrated dried mushrooms to the pot and stir well to combine with the onions and garlic.
4. Pour in the vegetable or chicken broth, and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
5 Return the soup to the pot and stir in the milk or heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Heat the soup over low heat until warmed through.
7. Serve the Kos Kos dried mushroom soup hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
